Video NIHR Imperial BRC Open Day 2016
Patients, researchers, healthcare professionals and members of the public all participated in the 2016 NIHR Imperial BRC Open Day on 8 February 2016, entitled ‘Health Research Matters’. The aim of the event was to celebrate 10 years of translational and clinical research funded by the NIHR Imperial BRC, and to hear more patient voices to inform the planning and implementation of our experimental medicine research programmes. We also wanted to use this opportunity to discuss with patients and the public some of the innovative technologies and initiatives that are on the horizon, such as the routine use of genetic information and clinical data, and to listen to their views on how these may best be adopted to boost the capacity and capability of research in the NHS.
