IHC opens call for applications for Research Fellowship funding programme 2024/25 soon

Imperial Health Charity (IHC) is pleased to announce the 2024/25 call for applications for the Research Fellowship funding programme, part-funded by the NIHR Imperial BRC. The scheme has been running for over 12 years, with 44 research fellowships totalling more than £2.8 million awarded in the last five years alone.

Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowships are available to medics and healthcare professionals outside of medicine (NMAHPPs), including nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, healthcare scientists, pharmacy staff and psychologists. Funding covers the fellow’s salary and related research expenses, and the fellow must be able to carry out their fellowship full-time for 12 months. The funding is to support the full cost of an individual’s salary and related research costs up to a maximum of £85,000.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships are available to medics and healthcare professionals outside of medicine (NMAHPPs), including nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, healthcare scientists, pharmacy staff and psychologists. There is one route for medics and two routes for NMAHPPs:

  • Route 1 NMAHPPs and medics can apply to do their post-Doctoral fellowship full-time (1 WTE) for 12 months.
  • Route 2 NMAHPPs can do their post-Doctoral fellowship at 0.2 or 0.4 WTE for up to 24 months.
