Appointment Call for Theme Leads- NIHR Applied Research Collaborative (ARC)
The NIHR NWL Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) is the NIHR’s vehicle for infrastructure funding for high-quality applied health, public health and social care research. ARCs are partnerships that bring together universities, NHS organisations, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), the Health Innovation Networks (HINs) and other NIHR infrastructure.
A new competition for funding from 2026-2031 has just been announced and the NWL ARC, led by Professor Azeem Majeed, and hosted in the School of Public Health in partnership with Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, is holding an open competition for the appointment of theme leads in the new bid.
This call has a short turnaround time – the deadline is 15 November 2024, although the application requirements are not onerous.

Interviews will take place via MS Teams on Monday 18 November 2024. The selection process is accelerated because of the short deadline for the ARC bid.
Early Diagnosis of Cancer theme is based at the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital, therefore only open to applicants working at one of these institutions.
