Interview with NIHR Research Professor Waljit Dhillo

NIHR Research Professorships provide funding for future research leaders to promote effective translation of research (‘bench to bedside [T1] and ‘campus to clinic’ [T2]) and strengthen research leadership at the highest academic levels. They enable outstanding academics to spend a fixed 5 year period dedicated to translational research at Professorial level as well as developing research capacity in areas critical to accelerating the transfer of research ideas into improved health. In this short video, Professor Waljit Dhillo (Metabolic Medicine & Endocrinology) discusses what this prestigious award means to him.
