FellowshipPartnership NIHR Imperial BRC GP Fellowship 2026/2027
The Primary Care Research Unit of the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is excited to offer a 12-month Research Fellowship for a General Practitioner with a passion for enquiry and discovery. The successful candidate will dedicate one day per week to an agreed research project aligned with the BRC’s research themes, which may include work on long-term conditions, translation of innovative technologies into Primary Care, or projects within the Patient Experience Research Centre. Over the course of the Fellowship, the GP will develop valuable research skills, with the potential to pursue further collaborations at Imperial College and/or apply for a Research Fellowship and higher degree. Academic development will be supported through the Primary Care Research Unit and the Clinical Academic Training Office of Imperial College Healthcare Trust, alongside an Honorary affiliation with the Department of Primary Care and Public Health in the School of Public Health at Imperial College. We welcome applications from GPs at all stages of their career — prior research experience is not essential — and encourage those with curiosity and a drive to improve patient care through research to apply.
